ABSTRACT

The pillar of speaking with facts is the outcome of sound design developed in the cornerstone of project planning with effective implementation delivered in the foundation of project management. To appreciate the importance of speaking with facts, it is useful to consider it in the context of four alternatives: speaking without facts, knowing the facts but not speaking with facts, not knowing the facts and not speaking with facts, and speaking with facts. Speaking with facts is the option advocated by total quality business projects. It entails the disciplined use of tools and techniques to obtain factual knowledge and the responsibility to voice those findings, whether they be good news or bad news, to help the organization survive and succeed. The importance of speaking with facts is further emphasized by the most recent nationwide survey of human resource management (HRM) practice and total quality management.
