ABSTRACT

Is farming the industry of food production, or is it a way of living — or is it just something to talk about? And what is a farmer? We speak of farmers as though they were all alike. That we know is not true. There are wheat farmers, cotton planters, cat tle, sheep, and hog raisers, fruit farmers, dairy farmers, not to speak of the diversified farmers who try a little of everything.
