ABSTRACT
Equipment for measuring MTF can potentially be used for making a very wide range of additional measurements on an optical system. In this chapter we outline briefly the techniques for doing this with specific reference to MTF equipment developed by the author and colleagues [1] for testing visual and IR lens objectives and afocal systems. However, it should be possible to implement most of the techniques described in this chapter on other MTF equipment, by modifying little more than the software that drives them.
