ABSTRACT
This chapter is primarily concerned with measuring the OTF (or in some instances just the MTF) of lens systems such as the objectives used on photographic cameras and thermal imaging cameras, or complete telescopic and binocular sights etc. However, it also serves as a general introduction to OTF/MTF measurement techniques which in most cases are also the basis for measurement equipment used with other types of imaging system.
