Module 11d: Meters with Uneven Beats All of the meters you have studied in this text have one thing in common: the beats in each measure are of equal duration and have the same number of divisions in each beat. This module considers meters with beats that consist of groups of two, three, or four within the same measure, resulting in beats of varying lengths-the beats, therefore, are unequal or irregular.
