ABSTRACT

In the first six modules of this book the reader has learned how to use some of the best tools for controlling and improving the quality of manufac tured goods. But when and where can production associates use these tools most effectively? In this module we examine the concepts of total quality management (TQM) and continuous improvement (Cl), and explain how the SPC and problem-solving tools described in this book may be used by or ganizations committed to improving the quality of their products to meet their customers’ demands.
