ABSTRACT

The basic idea, design, structure and function of a GIS (Geographic Information System) based seismic hazard zonation system of loess for Lanzhou city is presented in this paper. The system consists of a file administration module, an attribute administration module, a subsidence analysis module, a liquefaction analysis module, etc. The subsidence and liquefaction’s Grade-3 zonation map of Lanzhou city with various probabilities of exceedance is completed according to the experiment data having been collected.
