ABSTRACT
The geographic focus of Sanjiangyuan nature reserve is one area within Sanjiangyuan that serves as the headstream area of the Yellow River, a river of iconic cultural significance within Chinese history. Global warming and environmental deterioration have had an enormous impact on the Sanjiangyuan area. In recent years, the environmental deterioration of the Sanjiangyuan area has entailed a series of disastrous effects, and has become a ghastly sight. The Chinese governments plan for ecological migration has the twin goals of protecting the environment and improving the life quality of the people. It binds together social development and environmental protection into a single project of systems engineering. As a result, researchers have focused on analysing the relationship between ecological migration, cultural adaptability, cultural protection and ecological protection. More research is needed to properly understand the significance of traditional culture when it comes to adapting to environmental change.
