ABSTRACT
Encouragement provides alternative ways of looking at and understanding oneself. An essential encouragement skill is being able to spotlight and magnify an individual’s strengths, assets, and resources. As one begins to look for resources, focus on the positive, and affirm others, they will have a phenomenal experience. They will have joined the encouragers and resigned from the discouragers! When one has difficulty identifying a positive trait or resource, identify the source of their difficulty. Often, one will find you are discouraged about the task of diagnosing strengths and resources. Their over-ambition also influences you to look for the outstanding, the excellent, and to overlook resources that are apparent once you refocus. Companies that drill for natural resources must be able to judge from the surface and from samples whether a site has the potential to be productive.
