ABSTRACT
Quite often scientific investigations can be characterized as “hit or miss” experiences, unless certain procedures are followed. In most investigations where there is an ever-present element of uncertainty regarding the success or failure of the outcome, some information (however little) may be acquired from the experience if care is taken to properly plan and execute the program of experimentation. This book presents some procedures that help to ensure successful experimentation.
