ABSTRACT
The Prudential Asset Management Company (PAMCO) is a subsidiary of The Prudential Insurance Company of America. PAMCO is a leader in the institutional asset management industry, offering a wide range of pension administration and investment management services to more than 800 companies and other institutions. PAMCO employs more than 1500 people in positions ranging from entry-level clerical to information systems to advanced financial and administrative functions. PAMCO has long been committed to equal opportunity and affirmative action. PAMCO's earliest awareness training involved the human resources area contacting the County Office of Disability Services. Realizing that more education was needed, PAMCO retained the services of a consultant who had extensive experience working with corporations to recruit, employ, and promote qualified individuals with disabilities. PAMCO also used the services of the consultant to conduct pre-employment training sessions in areas where individuals with disabilities were being hired.
