ABSTRACT

This chapter provides the overview of the mission, corporate history and philosophy, achievements, market opportunities, and future goals of Professional Courtesy Corporation (PCC) and Medical Software Development Corporation (MSDC). PCC and MSDC's corporate vision and mission are to make the path leading to personal and economic dignity an easier objective for the disabled healthcare professional to achieve. In 1986, PCC, along with Tom McComb, developed the first equity-building income replacement policy in the nation to feature superior rehabilitation for policyholders. In 1992, PCC was also instrumental in helping to found the American Medical Association's Rehabilitation and Relief Fund for disabled and human immunodeficiency virus infected physicians. PCC will also establish and manage, in the near future, a portion of policyholders' side fund buildup. MSDC is currently working with Management Recruiters of Dallas to place disabled physicians in other related healthcare positions.
