ABSTRACT

This paper presents the preliminary results of porosity research of RCC that have been developed by FURNAS Laboratory – Goiânia/Brazil. Research program includes variations of powdered aggregate and water contents and their influence on the workability and properties of the fresh and hardened RCC. The investigations comprehend analysis of several tests related to the porosity of RCC and the mechanical properties are considered either. The main properties investigated are compressive strength, friction angle and cohesiveness, permeability and mercury porosimetry.
