ABSTRACT

Delegation is a complex subject. Deeply involved with human interrelations and management skills, delegation perhaps ranks second to the process of decision making in its complexity and may well be one of the least understood of all management techniques. The definition of words and terms has significance in establishing a specific and proper context. Even in highly theoretical areas, not only straightforward dictionary definitions but meaningful definitions by authors, lecturers, teachers, and others have placed things in a context which has led to the development of methods, systems, and techniques of much value. Controlling can be defined as a process used to maximize the probability that results will conform to the plan. Delegation is a dynamic process of relationships concerned with results, and not cut- and-dried, simplistic methods, systems, or procedures. The field of project management is already oversaturated with methods, systems, and procedures.
