ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the authors look at hearing of other Tricks, Traps, and Alligators that Process Masters, as process mastering practitioners, run into. To avoid a citation, safety training processes must be documented, including training dates and content. The team members should make sure they agree on the exact wording in the process master documents during their meetings. Process masters can be developed over long distances. This opportunity could arise when similar processes are done at several locations. Drawings, sketches, or photos are powerful tools in communicating the "best known ways" on the key step worksheet. Employees should be allowed to feel that they share ownership of the process masters. Employees may have difficulty explaining the safe operation of the Famous Cutter, but if a current process master is posted in the work area, chances are better that the worker will be: working safely, and able to explain the safety precaution.
