ABSTRACT

The following spectra were obtained as part of a round robin conducted by the Raman subcommittee of the Joint Committee on Atomic and Molecular Physical Data. The purpose of the round robin was to investigate a few well-known 552 553 554 555compounds under varying instrumental conditions and using different excitation lines. The spectra were run on a Spex Ramalog System with a coherent Model 52MG argon-krypton laser. A complete set of toluene spectra run with 4,880 Å argon ion excitation at 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0.25 cm−1 resolution (Figures 7 to 12) and a 1 cm−1 resolution spectrum run with 5,145 Å argon ion excitation (Figure 13) are included. Spectra of cyclohexane, cyclohexanone, and indene run with 4,880 Å argon ion excitation at 1 cm−1 resolution are also presented for comparison (Figures 14 to 16).
