ABSTRACT
A convenient technique is shown for inclusion of the pore water effect in limit analysis of saturated soil structures. The influence of the buoyancy force and the seepage force is shown to be equivalent to the inclusion of two additional terms in the work rate balance equation. Critical heights for slopes are calculated as an application example.
