ABSTRACT

The mental health-care system is in a state of change. Hospitals are finding the need to provide more thorough and more rapid treatment with less resources. Lengths of stay are reduced, and the need to provide effective treatment quickly has increased. As part of the quality assurance program, the Rehabilitative Therapies committee designed and implemented a four month study to measure patients’ perception of their treatment groups run by the Rehabilitative Therapies Department. The data is currently under analysis. Horticultural Therapy groups have been separated and are being reviewed and compared with other Rehabilitative Therapies groups.
