ABSTRACT
Many papers concerning Kobayashi’s theory on hyperbolic manifolds M pointed out how the existence of an invariant distance on M and its completeness are equivalent to the evenness and the normality of the family of holomorphic maps from the unit disk to M ([1], [7], [8]).
