ABSTRACT
In Chapters 9 and 10, we focused on the use of hierarchical nonlinear modeling in two specific areas of application, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and assay analysis. The methods in this book are potentially useful in a wide variety of problems. We illustrate this in this chapter by presenting three self-contained case studies drawn from quite distinct subject-matter areas: crop science, forestry, and seismology.
