ABSTRACT
If a term is listed in this section (D), there is ambiguity or disagreement in recent texts as to its meaning. Each set of discussions deals with one or more interrelated terms, listed at the beginning. Following the list of terms, areas of ambiguity and semantic conflict are identified by listing numbered questions. Each question is then discussed. Discussion of an “ambiguity” question includes showing why its answer is sometimes ambiguous, based on usage in recent texts. Discussion of a “conflict” question includes showing that there are two or more incompatible answers, depending upon one’s source.
