ABSTRACT
In this section we will show how the multigrid method applies to finite element approximations to second order elliptic boundary value problems. We shall consider domains with curved boundaries as well as the use of mesh refinements. For simplicity of exposition, we restrict ourselves to polygonal domains in the case of mesh refinements.
