ABSTRACT
A 67-year-old man has been admitted to hospital after a transient ischaemic attack (TIA). This is the third time he has had a TIA. You are asked to see the patient who is experiencing memory difficulties and appears confused, on the medical ward. You are unable to gain a history from the husband as he appears confused and does not answer questions clearly. His wife is present on the ward however.
