The British Medical Journal of 12 July 1986 carried the following item previously reported in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine concerning a conference in Spain.
A Spanish surgeon who contributed to the meeting included several bullfight injuries in his series of patients with traumatic lesions of the anal sphincter. Apparently only cowardly matadors come to the proctologist; the brave full frontal ones are said to provide business for the urologists.
