ABSTRACT
Various horror stories (not always true) circulate about the unfortunate fate of certain patients undergoing surgery. More rarely are the dangers to assistant surgeons and to nurses documented, and the following, culled from the Canadian Medical Association Journal and written by two doctors from the University of Oslo, may therefore be of interest to readers.
