ABSTRACT
[In this paper the author adopts a mathematical approach to analyse the efficiency of functioning of committees, boards and panels. Detailed equations are derived and graphs plotted to determine such relationships as actual versus calculated work output; efficiency versus numbers; efficiency versus intelligence; intelligence versus rank; etc. The extract below describes one of the mathematical functions which appears in the equations.]
