ABSTRACT

The three Peter Zeeman memorial stained glass windows designed by Harm K Onnes in the Kamerlingh-Onnes Laboratory at the University of Leiden commemorating the discovery which became known as the Zeeman effect. The upper panel shows Zeeman making the original discovery as reported on 31 October 1896; the central panel pictures Lorentz and symbolizes the theoretical part of the work; and the lower panel shows the confirmation of the predictions on 28 November 1896.
