ABSTRACT
Industrial plant for coal treatment from »Vrska Cuka« coal mine was built in 1992. Coal treatment is carried out by gravity separation by the application of static equipment with magnetic suspensions. As a results of certain technological processes, about 1000000 tons of tailing material containing 15 % of coal is formed. The process by which this material could be processed in order to make it harmless to the environment is expensive, unless some valuable component is recovered. In this paper, the results of this plant operation are presented.
