ABSTRACT
The extract samples from method 102A are analyzed using high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) with a fluorescence detector ( 1,2 ). Identification of peaks and measurement of the concentrations of individual PAHs is done by comparison with standard solutions. Since many compounds can be present, the user of the method should have some high expectation of finding the specific compounds of interest. This procedure is capable of resolving all 16 PAHs listed in Table 102D.-I.
