ABSTRACT
The method formerly listed under this number also gave directions for determination of hydrocarbons; today these are exclusively determined by flame ionization, with or without gas chromatography (Method 101). The basic Orsat method is still used to determine whether combustion sources are being supplied sufficient oxygen for complete combustion, and to generate correction factors routinely used in source analysis.
