ABSTRACT
Given that the skin is the biggest organ and that they can see it, patients often present with rashes (spots) which may be described as being red (erythematous), itchy (pruritic), hot and occasionally a self-diagnosis will be offered such as hives/nettle-rash (papular urticaria), which is characterised by the presence of papules (raised red spots).
