ABSTRACT
It is possible to prepare by a gas-solid reaction europium-containing strontium apatite which contain, in the channels, up to two carbonate ions per unit cell. Above one ion per unit cell, the number of neighbouring carbonate ions increases and their distorsion can be seen by infrared spectrometry, especially by the distance of the V3 band in the range 1420–1550 cm−1.
