ABSTRACT
In economics 'production' is discussed in connection with 'consumption'. From the social systems viewpoint, manufacturing systems are recognised beyond each firm. The production system forms the socially spatial interaction structure together with the settlement system and the public system. The production structure plays a part in constructing the international structural power in the world system, interacting with the security structure, the finance structure, and the knowledge structure. Usually 'inventory' should be avoided or minimised from the viewpoint of the minimum-cost principle. It reflects the economic and business trends of a state/ country/society in connection with 'production'. Marx' materialism is the social production process to integrate the two factors—Produktionskraft and Produktionsverhaltnis—by establishing the social relation dealing with material conversion. The production management is a high-level concept in Russia in that it plays a central role in the aggregate social structure which includes the economic structure, the political structure, the law structure, the ideological structure, etc.
