ABSTRACT

As mentioned in industries are usually classified into three categories: primary industry—production relying on nature—agriculture; forestry and fishing; and mining, secondary industry—production of tangible goods through conversion of raw materials—manufacturing; construction; and electricity, gas and water. It also include: tertiary industry—intangible service production—transportation and communication, wholesale and retail trade, finance, insurance and real estate, services, and government. A country in which the percentage of labour population in the tertiary industry has exceeded 50 is recognised as an economically advanced country that has entered into the post-industrial or information society. As a great industrial country, Germany's manufacturing sector shares 31.5% of the total labour population, and 37.2% of GDP, both top among economically advanced countries. In general the efficiency in primary industry is low and the manufacturing efficiency is superior to efficiencies for primary and tertiary industries.
