ABSTRACT
By filling a water reservoir with water a change of hydrodynamic and hydrostatic tensions occur in banks consisting of heavily permeable rocks, and by the action of uplift the weight of rock at the slope foot is reduced becoming potentially endangered by sliding. The change tension may be induced by various causes, above all by increasing weight of the active portion of the potential sliding and intervention of water into the slide surface.
