ABSTRACT
The paper deals with mapping of slope deformations in the northeastern part of the Vizovická vrchovina Highland. Research of slope deformations proved the important role of slope movements in the process of earth surface evolution in the area of lower relief on flysch rocks in highlands and hilly lands. In the research area 105 localities with slope deformations was identified. Two localities were identified as fossil landslides, 68 localities as recent dormant landslides and 28 localities as recent active landslides. Extreme precipitations in July 1997 were triggering mechanism of sliding.
