ABSTRACT
On main road M-5 Sarajevo-Ljubogosta by the end of November 1999 the landslide was created by taking hold of the road and right valley slope of Miljacka river canyon in a frontal manner. Sudden displacement of 800 000 m3 of scree clayey debris over werfenian slates and sandstones dammed locally the river Miljacka and menaced Sarajevo township, being located 2 km downstream. The landslide appearance was preceded by unplanned formation of a waste dump of approximate volume of 120 000 m3on the road downhill side. A series of variants were taken into consideration during thorough geological-geotechnical investigations and design of landslip repair and road, and river channel protection as well. Variants thereof included the preservation of previous road elements, the road detour into a stable mountainous backing (open excavation or tunnel) and landslide over bridging.
RESUME: En fin de novrmbre de 1999., a la grande route M-5 Sarajevo Ljubogosta, il est produit un grand glissement qui dangerait la route et la gauche pente du cãnon de la rivière Miljacka. Le curieu déplacement de 800 000 m3 de la masse de debris argileux par dessus des shistes argileuses et grès de Verfen, a baragé localelement la rivière Miljacka et dangeré Sarajevo qui se trouve 2 km au dessus. A l’apparition du glissement est prèvènu une formation de decharge irrégulaire au talus de la route, de volume de 120 000 m3. Pandant les recherches géologiques et géotechniques et projet d’amélioration du glissement et de la route, on a analysé plusieurs possibilités: construction de la déviation de la route au terrin stable de la pente (au ouvrage ouvert ou par tunnel) et construction du pont par dessus de glissement.
