ABSTRACT

Complex projective spaces are a familiar and important class of complex manifolds, arising naturally not just in algebraic geometry but also in complex analysis where they play a role in the investigation of local properties of holomorphic varieties and mappings to be pursued next. Although the general properties of projective spaces are no doubt quite well known, some special properties nicely illustrate the analytic results discussed in the preceding sections. So a discussion of projective spaces here may serve a purpose beyond just establishing notation and terminology.
