ABSTRACT
The interest in emulsions with very small drops is understandable, as the use of emulsions or coarse dispersions in paints, wax dispersions, and similar systems is accompanied by stability problems, caking and creaming being the obvious ones. These problems are alleviated if the particle size is made smaller, and patents to this effect were issues as early as the 1930s [1,2].
