Embankment on a natural ground with low bearing capacity

For a split-level junction of a proposed route with a railway an embankment is necessary. The height of this embankment is determined by the magnitude of the compression of the sub-base and by the height of the railway arch with which the proposed route has to be connected. With a settlement of 3.5 m the height of the embankment is 11.50 m.
