ABSTRACT

This paper deals with bending of reinforcement concrete girder rested on non-linear elastic foundation. The beam is discretized by layered isoparametric finite elements. The concrete material is modelled with stiffening in compression and softening in tension. The properties of the steel are exhibited by a bilinear stress-strain diagram. Soil structure interaction is idealised by using non-linear Winkler modules in the axial and transversal direction.
