ABSTRACT

Conventional restoration technique means beside linear cutting technique by different kind of saws an immense quantity of hand working. By abrasive water jets the amount of hand work can be reduced drastically.

However a larger effect in minimising hand work and in automatisation can be achieved by using three dimensional jet cutting techniques. For this purpose 5-axis-machines are necessary. The most efficient process can be achieved if different machining techniques will be combined, for example cutting, drilling and material removal.
