ABSTRACT

Rather extensive research of external axial force transfer along the loaded steel bolts elements to surrounding rock was performed in the mine in order to determine optimal anchoring length. In similar way we give the measurements results for dynamics loads on long cable bolts within front face blasting directly near measuring points. The presented results, determining first of all the time development and size of dynamic load, enable the project officers a more realistic planning. In second part of this report there are the results of in situ” measurements giving the efficiency of rock bolting with measuring anchors with sensors on different depths respectively distances from the anchor head. The described measuring method enables to determine the so called neutral point. With the known neutral point it is possible to optimize the rock bolt system as single or combined supporting system.
