ABSTRACT

The ratio of the depth of the indentation of the indenter into the rock and the depth of the chipping out of the crater under the indenter at the static loading of the indenter was experimentally verified. The aim of the experiments was to determine the character of this ratio and to verify the influence of the secondary fracturing of the rock on its value, i.e. this ratio was verified in the domain of the intact rock and in the domain of the rock fractured by the previous pushing of the indenter.
