ABSTRACT

UFOS© is software product for computing the factor of safety of soil slopes. A distinctive feature of this software product, in contrast with the traditional programs, is its object-oriented nature. All the algorithms, functions and methods of the program were developed in accordance with the laws of mathematical abstractions (the mathematical laws of the transformation of objects). At creation of the program the programming language C++ (object-oriented) is used. The hierarchy of classes and laws of interaction of objects of these classes is developed. With UFOS© , you can analyze problems for a variety of slip surface shapes, soil properties, concentrated, uniformly and trapezoidal distributed loads. At numerical calculations can on circular slip surface shape to estimate local minimum of factor of safety. Factor of safety can be calculated with using the following methods: Terzaghi K., Chugaev R.R., Mozgevetinov A.L., Shakhunyanz G.M. UFOS ©can be used to model almost any stability problem including: natural earth slopes, sloping excavation, soil embankments, open-pit high walls, reinforced soil masses. The program UFOS © is a continuously developing system: the newest theoretical developments, modern concepts of the graphic interface are realized; it easy to adapt to new generations of operating systems and environment of programming. The results of the numerical of calculations for factor of safety will be carried out.
