ABSTRACT

Multisite Radar Systems (MSRSs) have been developing for many years. However, there is no generally accepted definition of MSRSs. In some works [42,102] MSRSs are considered in a “narrow sense”: a MSRS is defined as a single radar with, as a rule, one transmitting and several spatially separated receiving stations. Such MSRSs are usually called “Multistatic Radars” [86,92,102]. Many papers consider arbitrary systems of spatially separated radars where all received information concerning observed objects (targets) is fused and jointly processed. Such systems are often called “Multiradar (or Netted Radar) Systems” (e.g., [77,85,103]).
