ABSTRACT
The ultimate goal of moving target observation by a radar is usually track formation, i.e. target track (trajectory) parameter estimation. This is done by target state vector estimation at each time instant but, unlike the similar procedure considered in Chapter 14, these state vector estimates take into account measurements obtained at previous time instants, i.e. history of the target observation. Thus output target track parameters are results of target state vector filtration in time.
