On Characterizations of Prüfer Domains Using Polynomials with Unit Content

This chapter presents a discussion on characterizations of Prüfer domains using polynomials with unit content by using theorems. It compares some of the ring-theoretic properties of the commutative ring and the Anderson-Kwak ring. The chapter recalls some background on pseudovaluation domains and shows how construct some Noetherian local one-dimensional analytically irreducible domains which do not share the behavior of the commutative ring.
