ABSTRACT

In contrast to the Newtonian theory of gravitation, the grt equations of motion of the gravitating masses as the sources of the field are intimately related to the field equations as was demonstrated by A. Einstein and J. Grommer. Historically, the equations of the motion of the problem of N bodies considered as point masses were first obtained by generalizing the geodesic principle. The field equations admit solutions under arbitrary given motion of masses and the equations of motion are to be postulated separately. Global brs is adequate to study the motion of major and minor planets and comets as well as for the reduction of observations. Beginning in the middle of the 1970s interest in the problem of motion in grt greatly increased. Consideration of the gravitational radiation affects significantly the evolution of motion.
