ABSTRACT
The exact definition of an epoxide has been given in Chapter 2, and in this chapter an epoxy resin is defined as any compound containing one or more α- or 1,2-epoxy groups capable of being converted to a thermoset form or a three-dimensional network structure. The term is used to indicate the resins in both the thermoplastic uncured and thermoset cured states.
